The personnel department has been busy the past few months hiring three new employees in our administrative staff and probate departments. We now have a total staff of 13. Except for adding another attorney, we are finished with our hiring “blitz,” and now we will just move forward to get our new employees trained and settled into their new positions. Hopefully, we are now poised to handle our increased workload and can concentrate on providing excellent service and superior work product to our past, present, and future clients. Ellie Gusman was hired to replace our longtime secretary, Penny Norvell. Penny transitioned to the role of bookkeeper in our back office until she passed the baton to her sister-in-law to take over Penny’s duties so that Penny could start an exciting new chapter in her life! Ellie serves as our new front office legal secretary and receptionist and comes to us with a wealth of experience as a long-time administrative assistant to a group of executives at Enterprise and as a church secretary. Ellie was a perfect replacement for Penny because, like Penny, Ellie’s friendly disposition and cheerful attitude is perfect for the role of gatekeeper at our office. Ellie lives in Huber Heights with her husband, and Ellie and her husband have eleven grandchildren!
Cheyenne Lawson was hired in September as a legal assistant. Cheyenne comes to us from the United States Postal Service and Sinclair College’s Paralegal Studies Program; Cheyenne will graduate this fall as a paralegal. Cheyenne lives in Moraine and just gave birth to a little boy, her third child, Ezra! Cheyenne assists Jennifer Burkitt and Janna Speck in our probate department, the division of our firm that handles decedents’ estates and trust administrations.
Adriane Kastle was hired as our records management specialist to manage the thousands of archived client files that were relocated to our new onsite archive records storage wing. In addition to managing our archives records, Adriane works alongside Maddie Brandt in the records retention department, and Adriane also assists Ellie Gusman with the front office duties. Adriane was previously the nanny to Attorney Kristina Rainer’s children and is also Kristina’s sister-in-law. Before working for Kristina, Adriane managed a Hallmark store for many years. Adriane has two children and lives in Huber Heights with her husband.
